Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE & Skills)
The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE & Skills) is our flagship qualification for those who wish to teach learners aged 14 and above. It is designed for aspiring teachers, trainers, educators, and industry professionals entering the FE and Skills sector, as well as for in-service teachers seeking to formalise and strengthen their practice. The diploma offers a comprehensive foundation in teaching theory and practice, alongside a deep understanding of learners and inclusive education. Trainees develop practical skills through structured teaching practice and observations, while also receiving expert guidance on assessment, curriculum design, and the values that underpin effective education. The programme also provides a clear route into QTLS through the Society for Education and Training. Throughout the course, trainees complete six professionally focused modules and undertake a minimum of 150 hours of supervised teaching practice, supported by mentors, tutors, and experienced lecturers.
